Stop. Notice. Be Grateful.

Recently, I was listening to CBC’s Gill Deacon asking listeners to share what they were most grateful for over the past week.

One listener’s response prompted this post by sharing: “The last 3 minutes it took to think about all the things I am grateful for.”

We all have something to be grateful for, no matter how crazy your life is or how awful a situation sometimes feels.

I can remember when our two week old was in the hospital for a month. At the beginning of the journey we weren’t sure what was going on.  It was a scary and crazy time but our choice was to focus on the fact that we were so grateful to have access to amazing doctors and facilities.

It was a choice.

Gratitude is an antidote for so many things.

How to Self-Promote: Even when you think you hate doing it.

When you think of self-promoting what words come to mind?

  • Cheesy
  • Sickening
  • Awkward
  • Desperate
  • Not me
  • Uncomfortable
  • Pushy, etc….

If I haven’t said yours, fill in the blank here…….

If your response is positive, that’s awesome, and feel free to stop reading here.

If it’s negative, you are not alone.

What Are You Waiting For?

WomanatLake.Text

Where has the time gone.

I last signed off with an idea of what I wanted my summer months to look and feel like.

It didn’t happen.

My summer and months to follow were rocked by Cancer.

I’m not complaining, it’s just our family’s truth.

Since then, my aunt passed away and my mom underwent a successful colon surgery.

All this to say, I am even more inspired and committed to getting out of my own way.

To do exactly what I encourage so many other women to do.

For me, it’s about an idea I have been thinking about for far too long.

Disrupting my status quo.

I know that so many of you too want something different, but a week, a month, a year goes by… and nothing’s changed.

Maybe for you it’s because:

  • A fear of failure?
  • A fear that if you change something, someone else will be sacrificed?
  • Your family or your life’s equilibrium will be rocked?
  • You are worried what people may think?
  • Something different?

Whatever it may be, our answers are excuses.

A reason to keep status quo.

To stay in our comfort zone.

It’s all about #GOOYOW. Choosing to Get Out of Your Own Way.

So….You up for a kick start?  A challenge?

If so, I’ve created one called 3 Days to Disrupt Your Status Quo: Drive your desired results at work and in life.

You can join HERE for free.

I’ve taken the challenge and disrupted my status quo.

I’m launching a new platform called Your Power Outlet.

It’s still a work in progress, but if I wait until it’s perfect, I may wait forever.

It’s where real women plug in to drive their desired change at work and in life.  Where you equip yourselves with tools that transform the habits that are not serving you and replacing them with ones that will.

It feels so good to take inspired action.

To stop thinking, wishing and hoping for something to be different.

It’s about taking one step at a time.

So…..what’s it going to be for you?

Not sure?

Take the Challenge.
